• The Board of Trustees

    ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Board of Trustees governs the university by establishing policy and exercising fiduciary responsibility for the long-term well-being of the institution. The board and its Executive Committee act on the recommendations from board committees, university offices, and the University Senate. 

    Board Framework

    The Board

    • Up to 45 active positions (renewable three-year terms up to 75 years of age; up to three alumni
    • Serve three-year initial term; three-year renewable terms may follow

    Alumni Trustees

    • Up to three positions
    • Recommended by Worldwide Alumni Association of AUB (WAAAUB)
    • Elected to serve a three-year term 


    • May attend board meetings; do not vote
