MEPI-TLG at AUB has an opening for the position of Project Pr​​ogram Coordinator. 



JOB DESCRIPTION​ 

JOB TITLE: 

Project Coordinator- TLG 

DEPARTMENT: 

Provost’s Office - MEPI Tomorrow's Leaders Graduate (TLG) Program 



1. BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for student’s administrative activities in day-to-day management of all aspects of the relevant award. ​

2. DUTIES P​​ERFORMED: 

a. Assists the TLG Program Director in organizing and conducting the on-campus orientation for new students. 

b. Coordinate throughout the year with the Admissions Office, the Registrar’s Office, the OIP, the CCECS, the travel office, and the student housing staff on all matters related to the TLG students. 

c. Follows up on the TLG students, and communicates with their faculty advisors and the dormitory monitors to ensure that the students are managing their programs and meeting their requirements (both in terms of academic and co-curricular requirements). 

d. Monitors the disbursement of monthly stipends paid to students for meals, as well as any reimbursements due the students. 

e. Requests computers, books and other supplies as per the approved budget for the students. 

f. Coordinates with OIP to hold pre-departure orientation sessions for students departing to the United States for the semester abroad. 

g. Maintains and updates all relevant student records. 

h. Reviews, ensures and controls quality of deliverables and makes sure they comply with project requirements. 

i. Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. 

j. Builds, develops, and grows relationships vital to the program success. 

k. Participates in meetings related to the project. 

l. Performs other related assigned activities as needed. 

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: ​​​


a. Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

b. At least three years of cumulative experience in educational or public sector institution, NGO or projects. 

c. Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with established deadlines.

d. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as an effective team member.

e. Experience in project management and in participating in the implementation of academic student related projects.

f. Ability to produce high quality deliverables with attention to detail while maintaining schedule commitments.

g. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources.

h. Skillful in student service.

i. Very strong problem solving skills to help overcome fairly complex problems routinely faced and to help keep solutions simple.​

j. Excellent Arabic and English communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.

k. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.

l. Extremely capable with office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Applications etc.). Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

m. Adapt at conducting research into project-related issues.

 4. SALARY RANGE:​​

In US Dollars as per Academic Assistant level at AUB & commensurate with experience​
