  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

The 156^th Commencement Exercises will be held on the Green Field on two consecutive evenings in May 2025.

The honorary doctorate and graduate ceremony will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 7:30 pm.

The undergraduate ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 7:30 pm.
