The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS), established in 1952, is committed to promote and disseminate knowledge through higher education, research, and outreach in food and agriculture, nutrition and dietetics, public health nutrition, agribusiness, landscape architecture, environment and natural resource management, and community and rural development as well as food safety and food security. These fields serve as a basis for improving the livelihoods and well-being of people in Lebanon, the Middle East, and the world.

Undergraduate Studies
Students completing 12 years of schooling and doing one of the following programs: Lebanese Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, Syrian Baccalaureate, Jordanian Tawjihi, German Abitur, Official Government Secondary School leaving Certificate, full IB Diploma or IGCSE/GCE (3 A levels or 6 AS levels in addition to 6 O levels excluding Arabic) can apply directly to the sophomore level at AUB.
To apply for regular sophomore admission, the student needs to submit an undergraduate application along with the following documents:
- SAT1 results (Minimum total SAT I of 1270 for FAFS)
- High school records during grades 10 and 11
- English language requirements (link)

Students seeking thesis-track are eligible to apply for the Graduate Fellowship and Assistantship Program (GFAP). Under the GFAP, eligible students may benefit from tuition assistance equivalent to up to 18 credits. GFAP awards are allocated on a competitive basis and subject to student merit and qualifications, departmental needs, and availability of funds.
