Advancing science while
serving the industry has always been the main driver behind the establishment
of the Laboratories for the Environment, Agriculture, and Food (LEAF),
previously known as the Environmental Core Lab (EVL) at AUB.
As of March 2020, the EVL, also known as the Core lab, has moved under the new
management of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences [previously
under the Faculty of Medicine]. Our mission at LEAF is to be a reference
lab for analytical testing in Lebanon and the region.
We are committed to providing professional high-quality services meeting
international standards (ISO/IEC 17025:2017; General Requirements for the
Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories) in analytical testing and
training services covering various sectors including food, animal feed,
pharmaceuticals, water, soil, wastewater, and compost. We regularly participate
in various routine and non-routine international inter-lab analysis comparison
program (ILC) also known as Proficiency Testing (PT) programs namely IAEA,
UNEP-GEF, CAP, FAPAS, Eurofins, AGLAE, RIKILT, and LGC PT schemes.
Our clients range include the agro-food sector and other industry sectors,
governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as individuals. Our
goal is to build sustainable relationships with our clients whom we believe are
our “partners”.
We continuously strive to offer the best service for our clients. We boldly
analyze what other labs will not.
