​​​​​​​The Institute of Financial Economics (IFE) in Partnership with the Office of the Dean of FAS Conference Travel Support

The Institute of Financial Economics (IFE) is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for undergraduate students to attend the annual Warwick Economics Summit. This prestigious conference is one of the largest student-run academic conferences in Europe.  It offers a unique platform for students to engage with leading economists, network with peers from around the world, and benefit from mentorship opportunities.

To support our students in this endeavor, the IFE is providing travel grants to cover the costs of the summit's registration, travel, and accommodation. Interested applicants can check the summit's website on this link.

Eligibility: currently enrolled undergraduate students in their senior year and graduate students in the Department of Economics. Applicants will be shortlisted based upon their highest scholarly and academic achievements as reflected by a well-rounded CV and a high GPA. Priority will be given to graduate students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Financial Economics (MAFE) graduate program and to senior economics students indicating their intention to join the MAFE program next year.

Budget: Up to $1,500

Application materials: Apply on​line.  Please upload in a single PDF file: 1. A short proposal detailing the ways in which the Summit will enhance your student experience and future career prospects. The proposal should also include a budget narrative indicating the anticipated use of the requested funds; and 2. A letter of recommendation from the chair of department; and 3. Copy of the summit ticket and airplane ticket if available. Upon completion of this scholarly activity, awardees will have to submit a short report summarizing their experience and benefits.​
