In her address, Dean Sibai congratulated FHS students and the awardees. She reflected on the numerous crises that the country, AUB, and its students have been facing in the recent years— the pandemic and the lockdown, the infodemic, the Beirut Port blast, and finally the national financial breakdown. She acknowledged the challenges that these crises have put the Lebanese people through, but underscored the resilient, wisdom, and strength that these people have gained in the face of these adversities. In Dean's Sibai words, “We have transformed, adapted, and carried on."

Dean Sibai concluded, “Graduating FHS class of 2024, our world has never needed the rigor of public health more than it does today. As you step out from this campus into the world, I urge you to uphold the legacy of the Faulty of Health Science, to be the voice of “those left behind," to fearlessly engage in difficult conversations and be the advocates, the champions of public health core principles."
