  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

Research Seminars

Research trainings are held for residents, research fellows and research assistants in order to enhance their research knowledge and expertise. Moderators and speakers from Department of Surgery, CRI and other faculties are invited to share research information with residents. Sessions are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 5 pm at the Surgical Library.

Research fellows and assistants also attend research trainings organized by the IRB and CRI
