With a vision to strengthen and elevate AUB’s stature as a dynamic, 21st century, research institution, the Center for Research and Innovation (CRInn) launched on February 2015 under the oversight of the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) and the Technology Transfer Unit (TTU) at the American University of Beirut (AUB).
The CRInn is driven by a main goal to establish a hub for emerging creative, promising and innovative entrepreneurial AUB students, staff and faculty members. The center will guide members of AUB throughout their journey of transforming their innovative business ideas into scalable businesses. Members will be connected with investors, advisors, influencers and entrepreneurs. The CRInn collaborates with the various AUB faculty and student groups over building a vibrant entrepreneurial community, rendering CRInn’s space a dynamic platform to encourage, support and foster new technologies.
The CRInn invites influential individuals and groups from the Lebanese and international community to join its network of mentors and partners. CRInn moreover welcomes any support in various fields that would aid in catalyzing the entrepreneurial ecosystem of AUB and advancing on-campus startups.
Admission to CRInn is competitive: the aim is to create a collaborative community that represents a rich variety of sectors and industries. Applicants must have an innovative business idea, which will be vetted by the CRInn executive team.
