WEBINAR: INCLUSIVE HR STRATEGIES AMIDST MENA'S UNRESOLVED CRISIS

Employers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) operate in very challenging national and local environments. The region is home to protracted conflicts, political instability, economic uncertainty, and weak governance systems. These structural issues have given rise to multiple unresolved crises that impact the workforce and increase vulnerability among workers.

In this context, the role of HR managers has never been more crucial. HR professionals in the MENA region are required to shape and implement policies and strategies that ensure business continuity, and foster resilience, inclusion, and sustainability in the face of adversity.

Of specific interest are crises-informed HR practices and policies around women's recruitment, retention, and promotion (RRP). In this webinar, we will discuss the impact of crises on women's RRP and how crises informed RRP policies play a vital role in attracting and retaining a diverse workforce during times of crises.

This ninety-minute webinar is comprised of three parts:

  • A 30-minutes presentation that will provide an overview of the various crises in the MENA region, the impact of crises on organizations and women's RRP, the RRP practices implemented by some organizations in the MENA region to address the crises, and recommendations for crisis-informed RRP policies.
  • A 45-minute Hiwar "حوار" with two experts, to explore the unique challenges that women face in their work during crises and how we can mitigate them.
  • A 15-minutes Q&A session.
